TIDE RUSHES IN: There’s a new land-to-ocean channel in Huntington Beach (B1) and environmentalists want another one. . . . Victor Leipzig, director of the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, says the push is on for a channel for that vast wetlands. “I think we’ll get it, but it’ll take a minimum of three years,” Leipzig adds. The non-navigable channel would require another bridge over Pacific Coast Highway and would be built at the southernmost end of Bolsa Chica.
