Changing Times for Episcopalians

Re “Church Finds Home in Shopping Center” (April 8): When we think of the Episcopal Church, we think of the greatest Gothic cathedrals of America. We think of Grace Cathedral sitting atop San Francisco’s Nob Hill, we think of the beautiful National Cathedral in Washington and, of course, the biggest cathedral in all the Americas, St. John the Divine in New York City.
I don’t think any Episcopalian would ever imagine that in 1991 the Episcopal Church would be found in a shopping center in Westcliff. Indeed, times are changing.
