AT&T; Unveils Notebook PC: AT&T; Computer Systems entered the notebook market with the 7.3-pound Safari NSX/20. The $5,399 base model’s two batteries provide up to six hours of use. Its 40-megabyte hard-disk drive permits it to store 40 million characters of information. Safari is the product of a joint venture between AT&T; Computer Systems and the U.S. subsidiary of Marubeni Corp., a Japanese trading house.
