ALR Buys Rest of International Subsidiary: Advanced Logic Research Inc., an Irvine personal-computer maker, said it has purchased the remaining 49% interest in its international subsidiary for about $6.3 million in stock. ALR, which owned 51% of ALR International, purchased the rest from Singapore-based Wearnes Technology, ALR’s largest shareholder. ALR will trade 378,549 newly issued shares of its common stock, valued at $6.3 million based on Monday’s close of $16.75 a share, for Wearnes’ 49% share of ALR International, a Singapore computer maker.
