Iraq’s efforts to resume oil exports may be frustrated by political conflicts and damage done by bombs in the Gulf War, the Middle East Economic Survey reported Monday.

The newsletter said that Iraq’s oil production and loading facilities were devastated in the war and that its invasion of Kuwait may make other countries wary of piping or shipping Iraqi oil. Before the war, oil accounted for about 90% of Iraq’s export earnings.
