On Boy Scouts and Belief in God: Who Should Make the Rules?

Share

It is a good thing for the Boy Scouts of America that the two brothers and their lawyer father (William and Michael Randall and their father, James Grafton Randall) are legally forcing this worthy youth group into the 21st Century.

The issue is, can a boy be a good Scout and an atheist. The two atheist Scouts share the same rational enlightenment of fellow atheists.

The leaders of the Boy Scouts are not theologians. They should stop telling children how they should believe about whether there is or (more rationally likely!) there is not a deity.
