How does gravity work? How do animals sleep? What does it feel like to touch a dolphin? How do plants sense touch? Excuse me, where is the nearest refreshment stand?

“Sea World Mother Earth Celebration” plans to answer all these questions--except the last one, perhaps. Hosted by teen actress Mayim Bialik (“Blossom”), the special salutes natural wonders with music, fun scientific segments, and even the “World’s Largest Greeting Card,” created by scores of children from around the country. You’ll see what it’s like to go on a safari, cavort with Shamu the Killer whale, and, of course, get a tour of San Diego’s Sea World.

“Sea World Mother Earth Celebration,” noon-1 p.m. ABC. For all ages.
