Secretary Baker’s Mideast Visit
A resolution was passed in the U.N. demanding that Saddam Hussein withdraw from Kuwait by Jan. 15 or be attacked. He did not and was. How come Israel has never been given a deadline? It is almost 25 years since the U.N. passed Resolution 242 requiring it to withdraw to its 1967 borders.
Secretary Baker should stop pussyfooting and give Israel a deadline. Israel must negotiate a homeland for the Palestinians. The security of Israel will be assured when justice is done.
