American Express Office in Mexico Robbed; 1 Slain

MEXICO CITY —
Bandits robbed the main American Express office in Mexico City in a commando-style raid, killing a guard and making off with about $335,000, police said Tuesday.
About 10 men armed with machine guns and pistols stormed the American Express office shortly after it closed Monday at 6 p.m. They killed one police officer, wounded another and then forced employees to hand over all the cash on hand.
