Gang Violence and Gun Control

Conrad’s cartoon showing a gun with a comma for a trigger (in the wording of the Second Amendment) is typical of the insidiousness of your message on gun control (April 28). You would trash the Second Amendment and confiscate guns from law-abiding citizens except for the military and other “proper authorities.”

Your banal attempt at impartiality is insulting. Some day when the U.S. is just another banana republic, we’ll all look back and wish for the good old days when we had the simple liberties we have now.
