OXNARD : 2 Pesticide Experts Schedule Workshop
Two experts in the use and handling of pesticides will hold a workshop Tuesday on pesticide regulation for interested farmers and residents.
Dr. Craig Conlon, a toxicologist, and Ben Laverty, a pesticide-use specialist, will explain the laws governing pesticide transportation, application and storage. The speakers will also discuss the effects of pesticides and the need for regulation.
A question-and-answer period will follow the discussion. The workshop is sponsored by the Ventura County Economic Development Assn. and will be held at the Financial Plaza Hilton from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tickets are $25.
