Varco International President, Chief Executive Elected

George I. Boyadjieff has been elected president and chief executive of Varco International Inc., an Orange-based manufacturer of oil- and gas-drilling equipment.

Previously, he had been president and chief operating officer.

W.B. Reinhold, formerly chief executive, remains as chairman.

Boyadjieff, who has been with Varco since 1969, had been chief operating officer since 1979 and president since 1981.
