Pasadena : And Now, the City Council

Share

It’s not really official and there was no hoopla, but on Tuesday the Board of Directors became the City Council.

The change in what the city’s governing body has been called since 1922 was approved April 2, after directors decided the name was a clunker that only caused confusion.

The board will be the council on all reports and letters. In official documents, such as ordinances, resolutions and meeting minutes, it is still the board. Voters will decide in November, 1992, whether to change the City Charter and make the new name official.
