Bishop Amat Senior Wins Tandy Scholarship
Roderick Diaz, a senior at Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, was named a Tandy Technology Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Tandy Corp.
In a competition that drew 11,000 entrants nationwide, Diaz was judged to be one of the 100 outstanding students in the fields of mathematics, science and computer sciences.
Diaz will major in computer sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
