New York Firm Raises Stake in Nu-Med to 7.6%

The New York investment firm Allen Holding Inc. raised its stake in Nu-Med Inc. to 7.6% of the Encino-based company’s stock.

Allen, in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, said it bought an additional 40,990 Nu-Med shares between April 10 and April 25 at prices ranging from $3.37 to $3.87 a share. Allen now owns a total of 680,700 shares of Nu-Med, which operates hospitals and other health-care facilities.
