PacTel Drops Out of British Venture: The San Francisco cellular phone company said it sold its 25.3% share in Microtel--a consortium to provide cellular service in Britain--to majority share owner British Aerospace. It decided to withdraw from the 18-month-old venture after a recent forecast indicated that the market will not be as large as originally thought. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
