Overcrowded State Prisons

Share

So we need more money for prisons. At the same time Charles Rothenberg (imprisoned for setting his son afire eight years ago) is being paroled again with round-the-clock surveillance (May 8).

Who came up with this ludicrous idea? To do this requires four to five people full time, probably costing upwards of $150,000 per year. What’s the point? Either he’s eligible for normal parole or he isn’t. If he’s not safe on the streets, keep him in prison. What’s next? No prisons, just individual prisoners out on the streets walking around with their own personal guards?
