PLACENTIA : Panel Will Look at Access to Disabled
City Council members have voted to form a committee to study ways to make city buildings and other public facilities more accessible to the disabled.
Under the plan approved unanimously Tuesday, the seven-member committee would make recommendations to the City Council on how to remove barriers so physically handicapped people can be better able to participate in city programs.
City officials will accept applications for the committee through June 21. The council is expected to appoint members to the committee on July 2.
