Responding to a shareholder’s question about rumors of an offer for San Francisco-based Potlatch Corp., Chairman and Chief Executive Richard Madden said the company is not for sale. . . . Carter-Wallace Inc. said it has withdrawn its letter of intent to buy Procter & Gamble Co.’s Dramamine motion sickness medication brand. Carter-Wallace, a New York-based toiletries maker, said it was unable to reach an agreement on the terms of the acquisition. . . . MGM-Pathe Communications Co. of Beverly Hills announced that it will make a $26-million interest payment on its bonds June 15. The payment will cover MGM bonds due in 1993 and 1996. The company was late in making its last bond interest payment.
