Apple Says Microsoft Lied, Threatened: Apple Computer Inc. has accused Microsoft Corp. of using lies and threats to get it to sign a licensing agreement that let Microsoft use the display technology developed for Apple’s popular Macintosh computer. Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple made the allegations in papers filed this week in its 3-year-old copyright infringement suit against the Redmond, Wash., software maker and Hewlett-Packard Co. Microsoft general counsel William Neukom called Apple’s latest allegations a “desperate” attempt to reverse key court rulings that have favored Microsoft and HP.
