Art Posts: Marla Berns will become director of UC Santa Barbara’s University Art Museum in August. She has been director of the University of Minnesota’s Goldstein Gallery for four years and was previously registrar of the Museum of African Art in Washington and visiting curator at the UCLA Museum of Cultural History. She replaces acting director Herbert M. Cole, who will resume his full-time post as professor of art history.
