SIMI VALLEY : Managing Editor at Enterprise to Resign

Share

The managing editor of a Simi Valley newspaper is resigning.

Jaque Kampschroer, managing editor of the Enterprise since 1985, made the announcement last week. She will spend her time raising her two sons, Devin, 8, and Sean, 5. She also plans to write, do volunteer work and learn her husband’s textile business, she said.

“I am leaving something I love dearly to devote time to two things I love even more dearly--my two boys,” she said. “It’s a risk. There’s part of me that’s scared to death and another part that is really excited.” The Enterprise, with about 17,000 subscribers, is published daily and is circulated mainly in Simi Valley and Moorpark.

Kampschroer, 37, has worked almost exclusively for the newspaper since her graduation from UCLA in 1976.
