A Poisonous Review

Share

I am writing in response to your trash that you call a review of Poison’s show at Irvine Meadows (“It’s Only Raunch ‘n’ Roll,” by Mike Boehm, May 20). I was there, and personally I thought it was the best concert I’ve ever attended. We paid $75 a seat in the 15th row and it was well worth it!

Just to let you know, “Life Goes On,” “Something to Believe In,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” were all No. 1 on MTV and hits on the radio! Not to mention, all three of their albums went gold!

Maybe you were just doing your job, but I don’t think anyone cares to hear your negative and thoughtless opinions, so next time, please keep them to yourself--unless, of course, you want a job in the Opinion section of this paper. Better yet, join the PMRC! I hear Tipper’s looking for new recruits!

Maybe you weren’t brought up as a gentleman, but If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all! If you don’t like Poison’s lyrics, don’t listen. If you don’t like their image, don’t look. As far as I’ve seen or heard, you are the only one who didn’t enjoy the show.
