Heat Wave Toll at 86 in Southern Pakistan

KARACHI, Pakistan —
A searing heat wave has killed 36 more people in Pakistan’s southern Sind province, raising the toll to 86 in a week, government officials said Saturday.
As temperatures rose as high as 125 degrees, Muslim clerics offered special prayers for rain through loudspeakers mounted on top of mosques.
