Top-Selling Realty Firm Honored

Beverly Hills-based Prudential California Realty has been named the nation’s top-selling real estate brokerage firm by a monthly industry newsletter.

REAL Trends says Prudential California’s sales volume of $6.5 billion last year put it more than $870 million ahead of No. 2 Jon Douglas Co., which is also based in Beverly Hills.

Two other companies doing business in the Southland made the Top 10 list. No. 5 Tarbell Realtors recorded $5.08 billion in sales last year, while No. 7 Fred Sands Realtors logged $4.8 billion.

Although the Dallas-based newsletter couldn’t verify the accuracy of each firm’s response to the voluntary survey, its editor said the numbers were reviewed by the staff and are as accurate as possible.
