SANTA ANA : College Chooses an Interim Chancellor
- Share via
Lincoln Herbert Hall was selected Monday to serve as interim chancellor of Rancho Santiago College.
Hall, now superintendent of the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, will begin work July 1.
Hall will assume the duties of Chancellor Robert D. Jensen, who is leaving the district at the end of the month to become chancellor of the Contra Costa Community College District in Northern California.
The Rancho Santiago district is now conducting a nationwide search for a permanent successor to Jensen. Hall, who is retiring from his job at College of the Sequoias later this month, is not a candidate for the permanent job. The new chancellor is to be hired by Sept. 1.
Candidates will be screened by a 10-member committee--composed of students, faculty members and administrators--that will choose eight finalists. The district board will then select the chancellor from the finalists.
About 40,000 students are enrolled in the Rancho Santiago College district, which has campuses in Santa Ana, Orange and Garden Grove.
