Tractor Used to Steal Gems

NEW YORK — Crooks using a tractor smashed through the wall of a jewelry store early Thursday and stole a safe containing $500,000 worth of jewelry, police said. They left an 8-by-12-foot hole in the exterior wall of Little Neck Jewelers in the borough of Queens.
