Barry P. Schochet has been appointed to the newly created position of senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Hospital Group at National Medical Enterprises Inc., Santa Monica.

At the same time Sidney F. Tyler Jr. was appointed executive vice president for strategic planning of the Hospital Group, also a newly created position, Neil M. Sorrentino was promoted to senior executive vice president of the Western Division and Frank Tidikis was named to replace Schochet as executive vice president of the Eastern Division.

Schochet joined NME in 1979 and has served in various management capacities.
