SIMI VALLEY : Services Monday for Slain Girl, 15
Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday for Emily Ann Christensen, the 15-year-old Simi Valley girl who was slain earlier this week by her mother, who then killed herself, officials said.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1276 Erringer Road, said Kathleen Nickell, a church official. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
Christensen was shot to death on Wednesday by her mother, Karen Christensen, who then took her own life.
The slayings occurred at the home of a Simi Valley family with whom Emily Christensen had lived for three years and who had become her legal guardians. Karen Christensen lived in Tarzana.
Services for Karen Christensen have been set for 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the same church.
Burial also will be at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills.
