Whose Law Is It?
Your headline, “Gunman Shoots Ex-Girlfriend, Kills Self” (May 29), easily could have read: “Law-Abiding Citizen Saves Woman: Owner of Semiautomatic (read Assault) Rifle Puts 3 Well-Placed Rounds in Maniac’s Chest.”
But, knowing California, said law-abiding hero would probably be thrown in jail for saving someone. At least he (“the distraught gunman”) took care of that himself.
When are people out here going to learn that “gun laws” don’t affect criminals?
