The Orange County chapter of the American Institute of Architects has appointed the jury for “Architecture in Context,” the 16th annual professional design contest for built projects in Orange County. The jurors are: Donald J. Canty, editor-at-large of Architectural Record magazine and architecture writer for the Seattle Post Intelligencer; Robert J. Frasca, principal with Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership, Portland, Oregon; Robert J. Geering, principal with Fisher Friedman Associates, San Francisco; and Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, a San Francisco designer. The AIAOC invites the public to vote for its favorite architectural project: Designs will be on display at the Jewel Court in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, Thursday through July 7. “The People’s Choice” will be announced at the AIAOC’s awards ceremony banquet July 19 at Le Meridien in Newport Beach.
