NATION IN BRIEF : WASHINGTON, D.C. : Subpoena of Robb Transcripts Told
Federal prosecutors have subpoenaed the office of Sen. Charles S. Robb (D-Va.) for records and transcripts of secretly taped phone conversations, according to news reports. The subpoena calls for “all documents that pertain” to the taped conversation between Virginia Gov. L. Douglas Wilder and a political supporter in 1988 as well as “any other intercepted phone calls,” according to a report by WRC-TV in Washington. Prosecutors requested the documents from Robb for possible presentation to a grand jury in Norfolk, Va.
