Role of the ‘Dice’ Proves Star Turn for Sensitive Alter Ego Judy Toll

Share

Anyone listening to comedian Judy Toll talk about men might have no idea that behind that cute, blond facade lurks a black-leather-jacketed, chain-smoking, foul-mouthed alter ego.

“My top criteria for a guy is that he has to be smart and funny, really funny, and there’s got to be some chemistry there--but that doesn’t mean he has to look a certain way,” Toll says.

Sure, she seems down-to-earth and sensitive, but fellas beware.

As part of her stand-up act, Toll, a Comedy Store regular and reigning champion on “Star Search,” becomes Andrea Dice Clay--dishing out an expletive-laden parody of the politically incorrect comedian’s anti-woman, anti-gay, anti-minority stand-up act.

Toll turns the tables by discussing men the way Andrew Dice Clay discusses women. Needless to say, her choice observations on male anatomy are unprintable.

Unless they’re ready to be “treated like dogs,” most guys are probably better off with Judy.

Her new 10-minute video “Lips Only: Judy Toll Is the Dice Woman” hit store shelves last week, and already there’s plenty of talk--although not from the Dice Man’s camp.

Toll says she’s kind of enjoying the publicity: “It’s a joyous romp.”

“But (Dice Clay) and I are friends”--the Dice Man actually helped her develop her character in the first place--”so it’s sort of depressing.” Then she reconsiders: “May the best pig win!”
