I wonder if you would feel the same way if your son, father, brother or good friend had been killed during the “brief war” Argentina declared with England over the Falkland Islands. Brief or not, lives were lost during the conflict and English soldiers were maimed and disfigured for life.
Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher did her best to negotiate a peaceful solution, which Argentina completely ignored.
No, you are wrong, there is every reason for relations between the two countries to remain strained.
War is murder. It is not something to be taken lightly and lost lives forgotten merely because nine years have passed.
