Celebrity Cars: It’s celebrity car time again.

Rick Cole Auctions of North Hollywood once again is setting up shop in Orange County for the 15th annual Newport Beach Collector Car Auction.

The two-day event, to be held Saturday and Sunday, will feature more than 300 cars, including a highly modified 1977 Porsche 930 once owned by rock star Rod Stewart (the glove box door is autographed by the Scotsman); a 1968 Mustang formerly owned by Ringo Starr and a 1979 Mercedes Benz station wagon that was owned by the late John Lennon.

Cole also is offering a 1976 turquoise Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow that crooner Frank Sinatra gave wife Barbara as a wedding present (it was painted turquoise to match her eyes, the promotional material says). The car comes with ownership records signed by Sinatra.
