Another Arkansas Star Is Suspended
Arkansas’ 6-foot-9 center, Oliver Miller, became the team’s fifth basketball player ordered to begin next season on suspension.
Miller will miss at least two games for his involvement in a recent off-campus incident, Razorback Coach Nolan Richardson said Tuesday.
The incident occurred outside a Fayetteville, Ark., nightclub early June 25, when Miller and a student got into an argument over alleged preferential treatment given to athletes accused of breaking the law.
Todd Day, Darrell Hawkins, Elmer Martin and Roosevelt Wallace are suspended from the team for November because of their involvement in a sexual incident in the athletic dormitory last February. Day also is suspended for December as a result of allegations that he cheated on a biology lab quiz during summer school.
