CAMARADERIE: Old habits die hard. Now that the downtown Santa Ana YMCA has closed, about 40 county workers are pooling funds to buy the gym’s fitness equipment so employees can still exercise near the office. Working out of a former basement emergency shelter, the group also has a new weekly aerobics class led by Burl Estes of the district attorney’s office. “Some of these people,” Estes says, “have been working out together for 20 years.”
