Groupe Bull named Axel Leblois president of its main U.S. subsidiary, Bull HN Information Systems Inc.

Leblois, who also was named chief executive, will oversee the company’s North American and Pacific Rim operations based in Billerica, Mass. He replaces Roland D. Pamel, who declined to accept a Groupe bull assignment in Paris.

Leblois, 42, was vice chairman of International Data Group, a worldwide publisher of computer industry trade journals. He also was chairman of International Data Corp, which is IDG’s computer research operation.
