Sierra Madre : Report on Hillside Plan

Share

The City Council on Tuesday unanimously voted to pay a Monterey Park firm $19,550 to draft an environmental impact report on the proposed Hillside Management Ordinance.

City officials say they expect the proposed ordinance to undergo a number of changes before it is submitted to the City Council this fall. But such modifications could be incorporated into the environmental report to be prepared by the Monterey Park based-Lockman and Associates.

A temporary hillside building moratorium will remain in effect until Nov. 10. Public hearings of the proposed permanent ordinance are expected to be held this summer.
