Durrough Wins Age 16-18 Title

Suzie Durrough of Woodland Hills won the 16-18 age-group title on the 1-meter springboard at the Zone D diving championships on Friday at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center. Durrough, 16, scored 360.60 points, including a flurry of 7s on her forward 2 1/2 somersault tuck.

Janelle Speriglio, 16, of Encino, was fourth with 338.25 points, including 7s on her inward dive pike. By virtue of their top-seven finishes, both divers earned berths in the National Junior Olympics, July 24-28 in Clayton, Mo.
