World IN BRIEF : ALGERIA : 20 of Army’s Tanks Pull Out of Capital

In a move signaling confidence that fundamentalist unrest has been curbed, Algeria’s army moved at least 20 tanks out of the capital, Algiers. It also pulled its forces off the main streets of Constantine, an eastern town. Violence erupted last month in the capital with street protests demanding an Islamic state.
