Commission’s LAPD Report

After reading the results of the Christopher Commission report, I am now convinced that the LAPD must change. I was truly sickened by the documented reports of excessive force and brazen racism. That LAPD officers could openly operate in such a deplorable manner, without fear of accountability, was truly frightening. Chief Gates’ defiant response and defense of his department, in light of this reporting, was all the more frightening.

It is obvious that massive change must occur within the LAPD. Gates must go and the LAPD must be purged of the problem officers. There must be a sense of personal accountability assigned to every officer.
