DONE DEAL: Will the last person out of the base please . . . It’s official: the Tustin Marine Corps Air Station will be closed for good July 10, 1997. “On that date, at sunset, we take the flag down for the last time,” Col. Len Fuchs announced Monday. He wanted to “squelch rumors” about whether the Marines will clean up toxics on the base (they will) and potential buyers (none yet).
