National Medical Enterprises Inc.: The Santa Monica health services company said fourth-quarter earnings rose 10% to $75.9 million. Revenue was up 14% to $1.01 billion. For the year, income jumped 14% to $272.43 million. Sales slipped 3% to $3.81 billion, largely because of the spinoff of the Hillhaven division into a separate company. The company said continued strong demand for its services and lower interest costs were two reasons for the improved results.
