Another Picus Flip-Flop
Councilwoman Picus, in her latest perfection of the flip-flop, says she will refuse to approve future Bradley commission appointees unless they reflect the Valley, but defends her own choice of Venice resident Claire Bronowski, stating that “gender diversity . . . was more important than geographic diversity.”
Stated another way, out of the one-third of the city’s population that resides in the Valley, there wasn’t a single “qualified” . . . woman. Apparently, in the 3rd District, a woman’s place is not on a city commission.
