Unemployment Soars in Czechoslovakia

PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia —
Unemployment in Czechoslovakia topped the 300,000 mark for the first time in June and almost quadrupled in the first half of this year, according to official figures.
The federal statistics office said 300,767 people, 3.8% of the work force, were out of a job at the end of June, an increase of 46,000 over May.
