PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Perry Expected to Report by Tuesday

The Rams’ long wait for offensive lineman Gerald Perry is nearly over. Perry, who has been in a Denver-area prison since May, is expected to be released this weekend and to begin practicing with the team by early next week, Coach John Robinson said Friday.

“My expectation is he’ll be on the practice field Tuesday, possibly Monday,” Robinson said.

Perry, acquired in a draft-day trade with the Denver Broncos, is scheduled to go home to South Carolina for a day or two after his release, then report to camp. The Rams expect Perry to agree to a two-year contract.
