Readers Lament ‘Return of the Brute’

Good grief, the world is frightening and dangerous enough as it is--what’s left for us if we take the kindness, decency, honesty, tenderness and just plain friendship out of the one relationship that is supposed to help us get through whatever life throws at us?

The men in the article say they are angry when women don’t respond to a caring, sensitive approach. Maybe those men are simply going after the wrong women. Maybe they need to go beyond looking at breasts and legs and look for the generous, affectionate, laughing heart instead.
