Friends of the Family, a family counseling and education center, is seeking donations to benefit its Young Moms program, a weekly support and information group for mothers ages 12 to 20. The program deals with issues that include preventing child abuse and neglect and helping teen-age mothers finish high school. There are three weekly groups that meet in Granada Hills, Van Nuys and San Fernando. For more information, call (818) 988-4430.

The North Hollywood Rotary Club Charity Foundation will host its annual Maurie Luxford Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Lakeside Golf Club in Toluca Lake. The tournament will be held next Monday and tee-off time is 11 a.m., followed by a celebrity entertainment dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost for tournament participants is $250, which includes dinner. Dinner tickets only are $50. Profits from the golf tournament will benefit the North Hollywood Rotary’s community, international and vocational service programs.
