Alpharel Posts Profit for 4th Consecutive Quarter

Alpharel Inc., a Camarillo supplier of computer imaging systems, said it earned $403,000 for the second quarter that ended June 30, compared to a $77,000 loss for the same period a year ago.

The company reported second-quarter revenues of $1.5 million, compared to $1.3 million a year ago. Alpharel, which has been struggling for several years, has now posted profits for four consecutive quarters.

For the six months that ended June 30, Alpharel earned $659,000 on revenue of $3.06 million, compared to a loss of $390,000 on revenue of $2.4 million for the first half of last year.
